This page is maintained by DBD Builders Ltd and describes our own practices. It is not legal advice and it is not an independent certification of any kind.

When you send an enquiry through this website we collect the details you type into the form: your name, phone number, email address, project postcode, the service you are interested in, and anything you write in the message box.

If you call or email us instead, we hold whatever contact details and project information you give us in that conversation.

Our web host records standard technical information such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, which is used to keep the site running and secure.

To reply to your enquiry, arrange a free survey, prepare a quotation and — if you go ahead — to carry out and administer the building work.

To keep records of quotations, contracts, payments and completed work, including anything required for insurance, building control or tax purposes.

The lawful bases we rely on are: taking steps at your request before entering a contract, performing that contract, our legitimate interest in running the business, and our legal obligations.

We share only what is necessary to deliver your project. That can include the architect and structural engineer we work alongside, the qualified electricians and Gas Safe plumbers brought in on regulated trades, building control, and material suppliers where a delivery has to be arranged.

We also use ordinary business services such as email, website hosting and accounting software, which process data on our behalf.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not pass it to third parties for their own marketing.

This site uses only what is needed to serve pages and to display the embedded Google Map on our contact page. Google may set cookies through that map embed under its own privacy policy.

If we add analytics or advertising tracking in future, this page will be updated to say so before it goes live.

Enquiries that do not lead to work are kept only as long as they are useful for following up, and are then deleted.

Records relating to quoted or completed projects are kept for as long as we may need them for contractual, insurance, warranty and tax purposes, and are then securely deleted.

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to how we are using it. Email info@dbdbuilders.co.uk or call 07825 776763 and we will deal with the request.

If you are not happy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Enquiry details are handled by Tom and the small office side of the business only. We keep access to project records limited to the people who need them to do the work.

No website or email system can be guaranteed completely secure, so please do not send bank details or other sensitive information through the enquiry form.
